[HEATED] A crowd fav — in The Cabin. Working in Tabata sets (20s work, 10s rest) for 45 minutes, this quick & efficient full body sweat session uses a dynamic combo of low impact movements and light resistance equipment. This class requires members to bring their own mat. Or mats are available to rent on-site for $4+tax.

On most days you can find Sophie in the Cabin moving to some heavy beats, or out running the streets of Halifax! Between running and LIST she is extremely passionate about movement, and sharing that enthusiasm with others. Sophie is our lead Cabin instructor, and has been heavily involved in Move East since 2020. Outside of Move East you may see her having a coffee at the Oxford Taproom or Dilly Dally, shopping for new activewear, or walking her dog Artie in the North End.

This 60min high-intensity strength-focused class is designed to build power, endurance, and resilience. Using functional movements, controlled tempos, and strategic work-to-rest intervals, you'll see an elevated heart rate for maximum efficiency. With a focus on quality reps over speed, this session ensures proper form is utilized to improve overall strength, power output, and muscular endurance. In simple terms, it's a cross between our SWEAT EQUITY and POWERHOUSE classes.

After moving east from the prairies, Mike's focus at the studio is to lead engaging and motivating classes that build strength, mobility and confidence in movement. His goal is to create a supportive and lively atmosphere for individuals of all fitness levels.

[HEATED] B LIST (Low Impact Strength Training) is a form of resistance training that has you moving to the BEAT. We use bands, Balas & more to build strength, sculpt and tone without the use of high impact movements. Our LIST classes draw from the principles of pilates, barre, yoga & dance. This class requires members to bring their own mat. Or mats are available to rent on-site for $4+tax.

This is our classic HIIT class, which uses a variety of equipment to help improve speed, agility and endurance in a fun, team-oriented environment. Bootcamp-esque. It's fast paced, sweaty and jam packed with good vibes.

Let me relax and dance around to music. I like most types, nothing like a good bass beat though. My favourite ways to move are strength and conditioning training, I also caught that running bug recently.

We use 30 second intervals in sets of 3, drawing from the principles of pilates, barre, yoga & dance to build endurance and sweat hard. This class requires members to bring their own mat. Professor by day, squat pulses by night. Stephana creates a welcoming and energetic environment inspired by her dance, run, and spin backgrounds. She aims to challenge your strength, improve your form, and boost your confidence through movement. Outside of the studio, Stephana enjoys spending time with her goldens, Charlotte & Bear!

My goal is to create high-energy, welcoming classes that inspire participants of all fitness levels, drawing on my dance background to keep things engaging and fun. With playlists featuring EDM hits, mashups, and remixes, I bring dynamic energy to every session. Outside of Move East, I love long-distance running, and just completed the Boston Marathon in April 2025!
