Lisa Henjes
Lisa has practiced yoga since 2002, but it wasn't until the autumn of 2018 that she fully embraced it as an integral part of her life. Coinciding with her most challenging personal journey, Lisa discovered Seeds of Love Yoga (SOLY), a transformative space where she began attending classes almost daily. This sanctuary provided her with invaluable lessons and a conducive environment for healing. On her yoga mat, Lisa learned the art of mindful breathing as she began to release what no longer served her while embracing what did. Motivated to delve deeper into her practice, Lisa successfully completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) under the guidance of Kristin in 2020.
Given her professional background as a public school teacher and former social worker, Lisa's progression into teaching yoga was a natural transition. Her aspiration is to share her practice with others, fostering their healing and facilitating their journey towards self-acceptance, as she experienced herself.
As a woman in her fifties, Lisa is dedicated to creating an inclusive practice that accommodates individuals of diverse physical abilities. In her classes, Lisa emphasizes a slower and more gentle pace, allowing students to connect with their breath and explore their personal boundaries while gradually expanding them.
